Ever wondered how red and blue glasses create a 3D effect? This is based on anaglyph 3D technology, which uses two slightly different images—one in red and the other in blue (cyan). When you wear red and blue glasses, each eye sees only one of the images, and your brain merges them to create a depth effect!

👓 How to Make DIY 3D Glasses at Home for Kids!

Materials Needed:

  • Stiff paper or cardboard (for frames)
  • Transparent red and blue plastic sheets (cellophane or acetate)
  • Scissors
  • Glue or tape
  • A 3D anaglyph image (you can find free ones online!)

🛠 Steps to Make Your Own 3D Glasses:

1️⃣ Cut Out the Frames

  • Draw a glasses shape on cardboard or thick paper.
  • Cut out the shape, making two eye holes.

2️⃣ Prepare the Lenses

  • Cut one piece of red and one piece of blue (cyan) plastic to fit the eye holes.
  • The left eye should have the red lens, and the right eye should have the blue lens.

3️⃣ Attach the Lenses

  • Glue or tape the red and blue plastic onto the frame.

4️⃣ Try Them On!

  • Wear your glasses and look at an anaglyph 3D image (search online for “red-cyan 3D images”).
  • The image should pop out in 3D!

🎉 Fun Experiment:

  • Draw two overlapping images, one in red and one in blue, slightly shifted.
  • Look at it through your DIY glasses and see the 3D effect!
